Our first Comox Valley Ribfest — Cumberland, BC 🔥

Somehow this was our first time at Comox Valley Ribfest in Cumberland, and apparently we’ve been missing out. 😂

The second we walked in, you could smell the BBQ. Giant grills, smoke everywhere, ribs, chicken, brisket and some seriously long lineups. We wandered around, checked out the different ribbers and, obviously, ate.

First Ribfest verdict? We’ll be back.

Come hungry. Wear something you don’t mind getting sauce on. And grab extra napkins. Lots of them. 😂🔥

HUNGRY CROWD.

🐊 Gator BBQ, 🐻 Grizzly BBQ,

🐷 Boss Hogs and 🔥 Grillbilly Willy’s rolled into Cumberland bringing the smoke, the sauce and some seriously big BBQ setups.

We didn’t try to pick a winner — we were too busy eating. 😂

First Ribfest. Definitely not our last. 🔥

🔥 WHAT WE ACTUALLY ATE

After wandering around trying to decide where to start, it was finally time to eat — arguably the most important part. 😂

I went for the pulled pork mac & cheese, and I honestly wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. Creamy mac & cheese absolutely loaded with smoky pulled pork and BBQ sauce. So good. 🤤

Troy went big with a full rack of ribs. His official review? “Damn good.” 😂 He polished them off and still wanted more, which pretty much says it all.

My daughter had her priorities straight and headed for The Pretzel Guy — she LOVES pretzels — and we all grabbed some fresh lemonade. 🍋

Between the smoke, the giant grills, the food and the sticky fingers, Comox Valley Ribfest was definitely worth the drive to Cumberland.

Would we go again? Absolutely.
