More than a great photo stop, Big Rock is one of Campbell River's most iconic landmarks. It's also connected to Indigenous stories that have been shared for generations, making it a place worth appreciating with respect.

Let's be honest... if you're visiting Campbell River and skip Elk Falls, you're missing one of the best spots around. A short walk leads to roaring waterfalls, a suspension bridge, and views that make you stop in your tracks. Bring your camera, wear comfortable shoes, and don't be surprised if you leave with way more photos than you planned. Around here, we call that a successful day.

🐾 Finn's Take: 10/10. Would cross the bridge again... especially if someone packed snacks.

Growing up in Campbell River, Elk Falls wasn't just somewhere we visited—it was where memories were made. Long before the suspension bridge, we'd hike down to the base of the falls and even swim there.. Looking back, we probably thought we were invincible. Today, I'm just as happy admiring the view from above. It's beautiful, it's powerful, and it's one of those places that reminds me just how lucky we are to call Campbell River home. ❤️
